About
Soprano Jayne Diliberto is a distinguished graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and the Oberlin Conservatory of Music.
In June 2025, Jayne performed the title role in Handel’s Samson with The Handel Opera Project, and appeared as Mademoiselle Silberklang in the company’s production of Mozart’s The Impresario.
Recently, Jayne made her debut with Sacramento Philharmonic and Opera as Barbarina in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro. She also portrayed Constance Partlet in Lamplighters Music Theatre’s production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Sorcerer, bringing a fresh and lively interpretation to the role. Additionally, she appeared as Second Lady in The Handel Opera Project’s production of Die Zauberflöte, showcasing her expressive artistry and versatility within the operatic canon.
In the 2024 season, Jayne was featured as soprano soloist with i Cantori di Carmel, performing works by Rheinberger, Mendelssohn, and Humperdinck. Her other engagements include covering Anne Page in Pocket Opera’s The Merry Wives of Windsor and presenting German Lieder in Lee Mingwei’s acclaimed exhibit Sonic Blossom at the DeYoung Museum in San Francisco.
Previous highlights include performing as soprano soloist in Mahler’s Symphony No. 4 with the Mill Valley Philharmonic, and serving as a Manetti Shrem Fellow at Festival Napa Valley, where she performed scenes from Rigoletto, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Die Zauberflöte. In May 2023, she made her Lamplighters Music Theatre debut covering Lilette in the world premiere of By Georges! – A Day in the Life of the Legendary Chevalier de Saint-Georges.
Earlier in her career, Jayne reprised Clearte in Ars Minerva’s production of Vinci’s Astianatte and performed leading roles such as Gontran in Une Éducation Manquée, Gretel in Hansel and Gretel, and Léontine in L’amant anonyme at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. At Oberlin Conservatory, she portrayed Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte), Mrs. Nolan (The Medium), and Maria (A Bernstein Revue).
Looking ahead, Jayne looks forward to singing the Voice of the Dawn in Pocket Opera’s production of La Rondine in July 2026, further expanding her operatic repertoire and continuing her commitment to dynamic, expressive performances.
Beyond her work on stage, Jayne casts Supernumeraries at The San Francisco Opera and is committed to nurturing young artists through her teaching and mentorship.
